Purla has been knitting since she was a teenager. She loves hand knitting, machine knitting and reading about Japanese knitting. When Purla is traveling the world, she shops for knitting supplies and can use patterns written in almost every western language. She normally comes home with MORE stitch pattern books, seeking the most unusual stitches known to the world. Purla and her fellow geese come from a long line of knitters. She recently learned that her Grammy and Grampy Goose had actually had a knitting machine and had knit socks on the knitting machine to earn money back in the 50’s (isn’t that cool???).
