These great envelopes are great for packaging cards, mailing shaker cards or for making gift certificate holders.  We received a premium spa certificate in an envelope similar to these envelopes and felt very special.

The same die cut can be made out of cardstock for an envelope or card holder.  The depth of the envelope is .25".  The exterior dimensions are 4.75" x 6.875" so if you put standard A2 cards inside, there will be a bit of room...use that room to include a small golf pencil!
