This is a cute, small little purse that would hold a few pieces of candy or another SMALL gift.  The inside compartment has a fastened flap on the inside.  If you want an open-top, you could trim the two flaps off, but you'll then need to glue the sides to the scalloped front and the back so that the purse will stay together.

Dimensions:

• Approx 3" high x 3.625" w  at the widest point x 1.375" at the deepest. 
• The height of the inner side is approx 1.25"

Other Notes:

• There are two 1/8" holes on both of the scalloped sides that would accommodate an eyelet or ribbon if you wanted a to add a bit of color.
