These mini screw eyes in this size are VERY hard to find at the local home center.  The Goose has looked and could not find!!!  If you do find them, they'll cost LOTS more than this.  Feel free to spend your time driving around town bargain hunting - or use that time to stamp and buy them here! 

These are screw eyes are SUPER SMALL - the screw portion is just less than 1/4th inch!  You really need something this short and fine to screw into your pencils so that the screw doesn't break the lead or poke through the other end of the pencil.  You can also use these screw eyes in 3/8" or 3/4" dowels to hang your stamped images on.

The Goose has used these on golf pencils, however, the ones from Office Depot were VERY hard wood...you may want to predrill the holes first.  The Goose recommends the American Natural pencils found at Office Depot in packs of 12 or at Walmart in packs of 72 (they're MUCH cheaper at Walmart).  These are a soft wood so it's very quick and easy to screw the screw eye in by hand.

Your 50 screw eyes will be lovingly packaged using a round ContainerBuddies container.  This container is much easier to keep up with than a flat zip loc baggie and it's reusable.  After you've made all of your pencils, you can use the container for your eyelets etc.

	This is an American Natural pencil by Paper Mate.  They are not painted.  The Goose has not been successful in using sticker paper on any pencil, probably due to the humidity at the nest.  You should see if sticker paper works for you...these pencils would be great since there's no paint to resist the paper or to "show through" the thin sticker paper.
